Marguerite Basnett, 78, of
Parkersburg, formerly of Grantsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center.
She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late Harry and Carrie Mae Stevens Williams. She retired from B.F. Goodrich in 1993 after 30 years of service.
Surviving are two daughters, Georgia Stalnaker and husband Bob of Grantsville and Shirley Basnett of Parkersburg; one grandson, Michael Stalnaker of Coolville, Ohio; one special great-granddaughter, Kateelynn Stalnaker of Coolville; one brother, Bill Williams of Doylestown, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and two special family friends, Phyllis Maze and Charlie Whipkey, both of Grantsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hale J. Basnett, in October, 1990; three brothers, Pratt, Lorin and Donald Williams; and three sisters, Delores Deimeter, Euthel Gibson and Grace Dufore.
Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Carroll McCauley officiating. Burial was in Big Bend Cemetery.
